Hey guys I am going to buy a celboard now and I was curious which you prefer. I am sure they both have their uses, but in order to try and conserve a bt of money, I hope to only perchase the most usesful.
I am looking on countrykitchen and I see 2 on is about 7x4 ($27) and the other 9 x 7 ($40).
Also, what are mexican hats?
Thanks for your help...I appreciate any insight.

Mexican hat is a term used alot when making gumpaste flowers. You basically roll out the gp so it is pointy-ish at one end and flatten out the other end to look like the brim of a hat. I haven't made these so I'm not an expert, but I have seen the term mexican hat used this way to describe how to start a flower.
OH! I know what flower starter you are talking about.
Thanks for the reccomendation....
Is the difference just the size?
I do not know if this little round tool works. Usually I just see people roll out the old fashioned way.
I have the large board--and it really isn't that "large'--and I love it. It allows me to make very long leaves and to make lots at one time. The smaller board is great for travel, but for everyday use, I think it's worth the extra $s for the larger one.

If you have the money I would get the larger board. It is basicly the same, just a larger surface to work on.
When I bought mine at the ICES convention a couple of years ago I asked the girl in the both which most people got. She told me that those that get the smaller usually wished they got the bigger. Because of the cost and since I wanted some other things I went with the smaller one. And let me tell you, I wish I had the bigger one. ![]()
