Those mice are adorable
Thanks for sharing the link!
As for other ideas, if you want to still use the dipped oreos, you could decorate the tops as wreaths or just with the holly leaves w/o the mouse. You could also top with a zig-zaggy Christmas tree ![]()
Here are my mice... http://www.cakecentral.com/cake-photo_91712.html
Are you looking for savory canape recipes, one bite things like tassies (which can have sweet or savory filling), or tiny decorative 'eat me' things like molded cream cheese mints?

Meat Balls, crab-stuffed mushrooms, Miniature Quiches... I like to make Tassies (pie crust cups in different shapes, and filled with many different things, like Waldorf Salad, Creamed chicken ) and served hot or cold.

Easy Curried Chicken Balls From: susan
Blend together:
4 oz. cream cheese, room temperature
2 T mayonnaise
1 C cooked chicken
1 C ground nuts of your choice
1 T curry powder (or to taste)
1 T finely chopped chutney
Chill, shape into small balls, roll in unsweetened coconut.
Be creative! You could also use salmon or tuna instead of chicken. I've added sesame seeds instead of nuts. No chutney---use drained relish. These look pretty, freeze well and are tasty. Happy party!

Zesty Orange Wings
12 wings minus tip
1-1/2 tsp Worcestershire sauce
1/3 cup chili sauce, not the hot kind
1/4 tsp prepared
1 tbl wine vinegar
1/4 tsp onion powder
1/4 cup orange marmalade
Cut each wing in half and place in a large resealable bag. Add all other ingredients and seal bag. Turn bag to entirely coat wings. Marinate a minimum of 4 hours and up to 24 hours, turning bag occasionally
Heat oven to 375. Drain wings, reserving marinade. Place wings on broiler pan. Bake 45 to 60 minutes brushing occasionally with marinade. Discard any remaining marinade.

(You probably don't want to serve over 50, but this recipe is just to give you ideas.)
Frozen Fruit Chunk Cups
8-1/3 cups apple sauce, chunky or regular
5-1/4 lbs. frozen strawberries, thawed
5-3/4 lbs. mandarin orange segments, drained
8-1/3 cups grapes (optional)
1 cup orange juice concentrate
Combine all ingredients in a bowl. Spoon fruit mixture into muffin cups lined with muffin papers. Freeze until firm. Remove from freezer about 30 minutes before serving.
This is for 50 people---- there are just so many ways to go with this. Take paper off plop into individual fancy glasses, Put on a plate on top of lettuce, etc.
Just located this thread on appetizers for you.
