WOW! Don't ya just love the way JanH pulls out links for everything and anything...i swear when the grim reaper himself calls time on cc i'm sure JanH will be there supplying a link on how to cope, why it's happening etc. You are one amazing lady - no wonder we all love ya thumbs_up.gificon_lol.gif

In answer to the op's question Chutzpah was spot on...pot / kettle (by the way i think she must be busy coz you got off way too easily there.) What kind of reply did you expect TERESA77? For us to say yeah we are all mean and rude and nasty? Yes some topics do get heated - we are all adults with (thank God) the free will to speak our minds. If you don't want other people's opinions don't ask for it, just stay in your own wee world where everything is peachy then you won't get annoyed by people answering honestly but contrary to your opinion because that's what's wrong here you don't seem to like people disagreeing with you.

As for the cc community i would bet my mortgage that you will not find the friendship, help, support, expertise, advice, humour etc you find on here. I am a newbie and hobby baker I'm also from the UK so sometimes i get lost in translation of ingredients and stuff you guys have that we don't or have a different name for - what i'm trying to say (badly icon_redface.gif ) is that i ask, what are probably stupid questions to experts such as tonedna, leahs, aine2 etc. to name but a few. I have only ever once seen any reference on cc to people slagging off stupid questions /novice decorators and boy was that shot down in flames. I believe there are no stupid questions, questions are only simple if you know the answer. I do however believe there are really stupid attitudes and that is usually what causes a fuss around here. You could buy all the books, courses and dvd's in the world and you still wouldn't come close to the expertise you get on here - you ask a question and somebody somewhere will give you an answer - it may not be the answer you want or expect but you will get an answer, you can't buy that kinda help and support.

This place is fab, way too many people agree with that opinion to be wrong - perhaps it's just not for you, which would be a pity coz i really don't think you can see the wood for the trees here.

(My all day morning sickness/ pregnancy hormone rant is now over icon_lol.gif )

I just had to reply, even though the OP is probably not going to come back to read this. icon_confused.gif

I have NEVER taken a class for cake decorating, and I feel like I have learned more than some friends (who have taken many), just by being a member of this site. The wealth of knowledge, information, and not to mention GREAT recipes has me truly addicted. I think that I need a CC 12 step program! icon_lol.gif

You people ROCK icon_cool.gif , are always helpful (even when it isn't something we want to hear- we all want somethings to be different. Like not using a batch of NFSC dough icon_cry.gif ), and just the most talented group of people that I have ever encountered.

Indydebi, Leahs, and JanH - You always amaze me with your knowledge and talent! thumbs_up.gif

Anyway - I just think that this is the best site EVER! icon_biggrin.gif

Mandi

Oh, by the way, THANKS EVERYONE! icon_smile.gif

I just wanna say that I know I'm in love with CC. You all are the best. I have never been treated bad and all my questions are answered. I may not get a lot of answers but I do get at least one. It may work or it may not. I do feel a little discouraged sometimes when starting a thread and then it just dies but I think that is just because I'm new or I'm not picking interesting topics icon_redface.gif I still love all of you and you are so helpful even when I have a question at 1 am. I myself have answered questions in other forums not related to cake and then realized it came across wrong. When you ask personal questions everyone will have a different opinion. My advice to anyone that feels offended is look at how you interact with others and sometimes you will see that you werent to nice either. We still love you teresa, or I can say I do and I hope that you feel better soon. I know how it feels to be struggling and baking is the only thing you know how to do to make it or feed your family. I was illegal for a while then I kept calling around and found out I can be legal. It will alll work out for you Good luck
