Peanut Butter Mousee Refrigeration Required?

I found this recipe at MyRecipes.com
Does the mousse and/or cake need to be refrigerated once filled? I think because of the whipping cream the answer is yes, but your help is appreciated.
I love ShirleyW's peanut butter filling recipe, but I want t mousse consistency recipe that does not need to be refrigerated and does not contain cream cheese (my DH hates cream cheese and this cake is for his birthday day). I'm sure that's tall order but I thought I would try.
Thanks!
If it's a real mousse, then yes, it needs to be refrigerated. If it's a mock mousse similar to Shirley's Mock Bavarian Cream, using Pastry Pride, then no, refrigeration is not necessary. Have you tried that? Or else, check out Melvira's Bettercreme thread, you can make a mock mousse with that stuff too. http://www.cakecentral.com/cake-decorating-ftopict-601193.html
If it is not a problem to refrigerate, but you just wanted to know if you HAVE to, then make the real stuff and pop that baby in the fridge! Nothing compares to the real thing
