If you use the right amount of the wilton pink, it'll work. My fave to use is the wilton rose. It's far from rose, more of a hot pink/fuschia.
i agree with saranichole---it is by no means rose! i used it to make blue's tongue and it was soooo pink! 
i did use the rose color and it was great, just the right color, Go for it.
You could do a search for hot pink or just pink. Find a cake with the color you want and IM the decorator for suggestions or how they did it. HTH
I agree that the Wilton Rose color can be very vibrant if you use enough of it. I used it on this castle cake and it was much pinker than I planned for it to be...lol.
I used a touch of red coloring on the wilton rose color and it made it much brighter pink.
