Can anyone tell me where I can find directions or tutorials on fondant/gumpaste figure modeling? I need to make a lady sitting on an outhouse seat. I am making the figure only and someone else is making the cake.
Thanks-_pam

Look in the sclupey clay section of your craft store. There are books there that show you how to make figures with clay. The only difference is that you don't have to bake the gumpaste figures.

OH WHAT A GOOD IDEA!!! Fondant figures are my fave! I'd never have thought to get one of those books. Thanks Michele!

Hi, have you seen aine2's blog. She has great online tutorials that you can buy. Here is the link,

And I would use gumpaste. You can do two things. One is to add 50/50 gumpaste and fondant. And the other is add 1/2 teaspoon of tylose / CMC powder to 250g fondant.
