I'm not sure what I'm doing here but I'm going to try to set this up for voting. Most of the cakes were fondant I only had two buttercream so I just posted them all together. I can't figure out why it's not letting me attach photos here so I just put them all in my myspace album. http://viewmorepics.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=user.viewPicture&friendID=98955130&albumId=2348503 I guess you can check them out there and come back to vote. It wouldn't let me add a very long description to each one. After the contest they will be posted in everyones albums so you can add coments then. If you add them to myspace I'll just have to transfer them over later. Keeping fingers crossed this works.

Voting will end the 31st if I figured it right. We'll start the Nov. contest then. Same rules apply except I need a shorter description of the cakes.
For thoese of you who need more time to come up with an idea the theme will be books. Anything book related.

only 2 more days to vote and then we will start the Nov. contest. The theme is anything to do with books and pictures have to be to me by the 15th. Otherwise same rules apply.

I had to do process of elemination. "I really like the leaves on that one but the humor in that one is better. But the flowers there are amazing and the basketweave there is great but.... " Well, you get the idea.

EVERY one of these are fantastic in there one way. It was a hard decision.

Hi, everyone!

I am one of the participants in this "newbie" contest. I didn't think at all that I'd ever have a chance to win even before I entered, but it seems to me at least half of the entries are from people who are not new to cake decorating. Of course, I have no way of really knowing...but it's kind of easy to tell...and this has actually left a bit of a bad taste in my mouth for my first Cake Central experience. Not trying to sound snotty, I had no expectation of winning at all, call it sour grapes if you want but thought I'd put this out there...
