Need A Lactose Free White/yellow Cake

I have a friend who can't have any dairy, but needs a birthday cake.
I would appreciate any suggestions.
Also dairy free frosting if you have it.

I am searching for the same thing! Well, it doesn't have to be a white/yellow cake - it could be any cake at this point.
Does anyone have a recipe for a dairy-free cake?

I am lactose intolerant, and when I need to put a lot of milk into a cake, I just substitute Lactaid whole milk. It is normal milk with the lactose already broken down. The same would go for any icings you make with milk--Lactaid will do the trick. It is available in most large grocery stores. HTH

I make all my cakes with Lactaid. Its what i have at home because i am lactose intolerant. No one ever knows the difference.
