Hi everyone,
I am making a cake, cupcakes, and cookies for my friend's baby shower. I want to make a cupcake stand following the directions on cake journal. To those of you that have made one out of those materials - would it be sturdy enough to hold an 8" cake on top? Any suggestions on what size cake dummies and boards I should use?
I'd like to have the cake on top, plus 3 boards for cupcakes.

I'm sure that if you'd just send a message to Louise on CakeJournal she would be happy to answer your questions. She is a wonderful friendly person. She is very very generous when it comes to helping people.
if you are wanting to make the stand from cake journal, then yes, it will be sturdy. if you are worried, you could always add some BC or RI under the boards to "glue" them to the dummies.
