I have read the artcicle about how to make a purse cake, but need more info:

I am making a LV purse for my sister's Bday on Friday. Today is Tuesday. I need help right away if anyone has hints.

I made the Chocolate MMF recipe from here on CC. It is the color of caramel. The LV purses are darker. Here in my city, I cannot get paint, unless we are talking about luster dust. I'm a newbie, so I dont have a lot of knowledge about this.

I am also wondering if the handles and leather pieces need to be made right away to dry. And also, if anyone has a hint on how to make a zipper.

ANY other suggetions would be appreciated!!!

Can you add chocolate colored paste gel (or similar)to your MMF to get the color you need?

If you're really desperate, Hershey's has a DARK cocoa that might work for you.

Everything you ever wanted to know about making a purse cake:
(Yes, zipper help is included.)
