October is Pastor Appreciation month at our church, and it also happens to hold the birthdays of the Pastor and his wife. So, I was asked to do the cake and they left the details of it up to me. I would like the cake to represent all three occasions, but it's not a big deal if I can't come up with it, I will do a nice general cake.
I know he is from Texas, she likes Nascar, and he is a preacher. LOL
We are fairly new to the church, so that is mostly what I know about them.
Any ideas you have would be great, I am looking at pics on here to get ideas, too.
TIA!!
PS Cake needs to feed 45-50 people. But I am making it to feed more than that, because I know these people are going to be eating bigger slices than Wilton has laid out.
There are great ideas from CC members, where a large sheet cake is divided into quadrants or sections. If you took this approach, one could be Nascar, another Texas, one something for the church and the last box a poem, saying or more decorations.
Cakes like this that I love on this site:

Oh my goodness - I"m in the same boat! Except it's our worship pastor's bday, etc. We have a fairly large church, so I plan on making them a big cake in general. But now I have to figure out what to make for our worship pastor (I'm part of the choir) for his Bday! I'll have to watch this post too!
I do have a Pastor Appreciation cake in my pics....look for the "fall" looking cakes.
I'm getting ready to post a new photo in my gallery that is a bible and cross. It was done for an engagement, but could be adjusted.
It's our Music Director's 20th anniversary with our church. I'm going to make a concert grand piano... I'm just having to work on the size and structure right now. It has to feed 100 people.
