Has anyone ever done this for molding? I am needing to make a cross for a Friday cake and wondered if anyone has had any experience doing this. It needs to stand up, so I know that I will have adhere it to a base... do you think candy clay will work?
If it has to stand up I'd probably use chocolate instead of candy clay. I'm not sure how stable it would be.......how large is the pan?
If it were a fairly small cross it might work. But I'm still inclined to stay with chocolate or gumpaste or maybe royal icing.
I wound up using candy clay and a mound of chocopan secured with royal. The entire piece was airbrushed. The cake soon to be in gallery. Thanks for your input ![]()
