Here is my first 3D cake! icon_smile.gif I made it for my son's 1st birthday (although many ppl thought it was for Daddy instead icon_wink.gif ) Many thanks go to DebBTX for inspiration and helpful tips. Thanks for looking!

UltimateCakes- just to give you an estimate, it took me 9 hours from baking to decorating to finish this cake. It's a lot of work, but worth it to see everyone's faces at completion. icon_smile.gif

I was almost reluctant to cut in to it! LOL. I had to do it though bc no one else wanted to touch it!

Wow, you did a really wonderful job on R2D2. I can tell that it took every minute of that 9 hours. I can only imagine how proud your husband was of you.
I agree that it is a little hard to cut and serve a cake that took so long to complete. Sometimes it just nice to sit back and look at it for a while. icon_lol.gif
