Difference Between Yellow Cake And White Cake

I have a rum cake recipe that calls for a yellow cake mix but all I have on hand is white, can I use the white mix and doctor it up to replace the yellow?

Yes you can add 1stick melted butter, 1 cup milk, 3 eggs and 2 tsp. vanilla bingo yellow cake hth

Or to simplify it a little use the whole eggs instead of just egg whites, and if you want add a box of vanilla pudding and an extra egg.
