Hi everyone..I'm making a cake for Saturday and will be using a marshmallow buttercream icing I found on this site. Because it has butter in it do I have to refridgerate my cake? My cake will also have chocolate and fondant on it. TIA
no, unless you are using a perishable filling ~ such as pudding.
butter doesn't have to be refrigerated. Refrigeration will extend it's shelf life, but it really isn't necessary.
