It looks like they took a small flat spatula and swirled it around after they smoothed it out..Not hard really!!

you think the spatula was pressed into the center and then swirled? i really like the way it looks.

that's exactlly what it looks like to me too! Like an offset spatula, stick it in the center and turn the cupcakes around.

thats exactly how magnolia Bakery frosts their cupcakes. Im sure you can look on Youtube and it will be there.

ok, i watched the you tube and love it. so fast. It will take a little practice, but I love the look! It reminds me of how cakelove frosts the tops of some of their cakes.
