My Hubby And Son Made Me A Birthday Cake

A few years ago for some odd reason my hubby and dear sons started calling me Ma-Moose. Over the last year or so it has been shortened to just Moose. Anyway my hubby and our 16 year old son made my birthday cake today. Hubby did all the baking and made the frosting. It's devils food from scratch and a marshmellow moca buttercream iceing. He also did all the carving and my son decorated most of it with a bit of help from his dad. A big thanks to Viki, who they based this cake off of. The liked her picture and followed the directions she included with it. I think they did a great job. Can't wait to cut into it.

That's funny because my husband just decided tonight that he and my 5 year old son are going to make my birthday cake when it comes around! I hope mine turns out as good as yours!!

i love it when my family makes cakes; i love seeing them enjoying the process and discovering they Too can do what mom does.. although it is hard to not step in and say "here if you do it like this it will go so much easier" lol...
