Hello,
i have a question..
One of my new customers is an american (i live in the Netherlands).
She has spoken about an american tradition that when you are celebrating your 30th birthday, you will be served a black cake with a white cross ?????
I have never heard of it.
Can someone please tell me or show me pictures of such a cake ?!!!

I haven't heard of this. But for 40th, 50th etc. They sometime promote the passing of someone's youth with a graveyard............

Maybe someone did the cross cake her area. I'm thinking this might be the theme.

Yes, we in the states love giving people turning 30, 40,50 etc he!! about it! To this extent, people do celebrate in different ways; black roses, grave yards, hills, etc. I would check with her as to exactly what she is looking for as there is no true custom for this, just families and friends different ideas.
