is there such a thing as trans fat free crisco- or something healthier...
for buttercream. I know you can use butter but that it wont stand up to the heat as well

Just the whipped icings, I think...maybe there is something else...you're right, this isn't very healthy, which is why its a good rule of thumb to take one little taste of your icing to make sure it tastes good, then leave it alone, it's just so haaarrrddd to follow that advice! icon_razz.gif

You can find new crisco with no trans fats in some stores now...
