At A Loss For Ideas... Please Help!!

So my husband's birthday is in a couple weeks. I was going to make him a cake with the USMC emblem on it, but I tried it out on a FBCT and the design is so detailed it's ridiculous. So I'm pretty much at a loss for ideas for his cake. Anyone have anything??? Please?!
um, he likes snowboarding, in the Marines (as I mentioned), he does remodeling for work, motorcycles. I kinda wanted to stick with the Marines because he's also getting promoted this month, so I wanted to kinda combine it. The other problem I had with the cake was trying to paint the white FBCT with gold luster dust. It started to turn a different color because it touched the black.
