I had a request for mints for a wedding. I made cream cheese mints years ago for a friend but I have never charged. This lady wants butter mints which I have never made.
I need a TNT recipe please!!
How long will they keep? How should they be stored?
Are they time consuming?
How much do I charge for them?
Can they be colored? What is the best type of mold for this type of mint?
Thanks for any help you can offer. I need to get back to her on a price within a day or so.![]()
Butter mints are quite simple. Butter, flavoring, powdered sugar. They can easily be colored and stored in an air tight container. Not to worry - some recipes make a ton - depending on the size you cut them into of course - very melt in your mouth. I'll look for my recipe and post it - I'm not by my cook books at this time otherwise, I'd post it now - sorry for the delay.
I make the cream cheese mints.
1 3 ounce box cream cheese 1 lb powdered sugar a few drops of peppermint flavoring food coloring of your choice.
roll a small ball and roll in granulated sugar press into candy mold then when full turn out onto a cookie sheet to dry.
They do not have to be refridgerated but can be frozen if made several weeks in advance
I uses either the heart, plain wafer or rose mold.
