I'm doing a 3d car on top of a half sheet that looks like a road. I want the car to look like it is actually sitting up on the wheels.....with space underneath.
If I put the car on foam core, it that strong enough to hold the wieght of a 1/4 sheet cut out. Do I just use cake plates for support? Do I need two sets of plates under there?
Seems like this is the way to go but I'm just not sure.
Thanks,
When I did the workshop with Debbie Brown she taught us to create the illusion that the car is resting on the wheels: you take a narrow and long strip of black sugarpaste and cover the base of the car, all around. Then you cover the car-shaped cake. Hope you can see what I mean in the pic here
