Will Roses With Gum-Tex Dry?

i need to make i don't know how many roses for my sil wedding reception cake. if i mix gum-tex with fondant how well does it dry? i plan to attempt edna's method from her videos in youtube. any advice is welcome 
I only use gum-tex if I have a mix of fondant and gumpaste together ( it dries). I do not use gum-tex if I am only using fondant alone.
For my roses, I mix half mmf and half gumpaste. They dry wonderfully well.
