We are in the direct path of Ike............
I hate this...if this hurricane comes (they are saying tuesday night) I will probably not have power for like 10 days 
It never fails..every hurricane we lose power for what seems like an eternity...whats worse is that sometimes the houses across the street from us will get power like 3 days before our side!!!
No power = no cakes 
Any other South Floridians feeling the same??
I have to add, I feel worse for those who have to leave thier homes and have lost thier loved ones due to these monsters
I lived in Houston most of my life. I was so happy to leave that tropical weather behind when I moved to north Texas. Houston was all too often under water due to tropical storms, hurricanes or plain bad weather. They don't call it the bayou city for nothing. Hope Ike takes a turn out to sea!
