Can I Cut This Imbc Recipe Into Half?

can i cut this recipe into half? what would be the adjustments if i'm going to make it with 3 egg whites? hope somebody could help me on this... a 5-egg whites won't fit my stand mixer bowl...

ingredients.
1 ¼ cups sugar
2/3 cup water
5 large egg whites
a pinch of cream of tarter
1 pound of butter
1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract

Really, it won't fit? How small is your mixer? For the adjustments, just multiply each amount by 3/5 or 0.6.

i really small 7" diameter and 5-6" tall, it's a dowell stand mixer with blender foot attchment.i swear it wont fit... the bowl of my mixer is just enough when i did jkalman's SMBC with 3 eggs... thanks for the giving the multiplier icon_biggrin.gif
