Help With Coloring Fondant, Please
Decorating By crafty_mom Updated 25 Aug 2008 , 9:52pm by crafty_mom
This maybe a rediculous question, but I'm asking it anyway. If you have pre-colored fondant ( like wilton's red, blue, green, etc.) can you mix two colors together to make a third color? Or can you mix color paste with one to make a third color? Can this work? I'm trying my first fondant cake for my 7 yr old son AND my 80 yr old grandma. I thought about doing the rainbow scheme, but I am not expierenced enough to make the fondant and mix that many colors.
TIA.
Jen
Yes it's just like mixing paint colour wise - make sure tho that you mix enough for what you need as it is almost impossible and very time consuming to try to mix more of the same colour if you run out.
