I am going to be a speaker at a bridal show this Sunday! I am so excited because I LUV a stage and a microphone. It's a very last minute thing. THe booth space is free, which is always in the budget!
I've got a number of small articles already written so I'm going to go thru them and pull a couple of my favorites.
Any Indiana CC'ers who want to visit the show, or send their brides to the show, it's at Adaggio's in Greenfield, 12-4.
Can you videotape it and post THAT here? Actually...two cameras please...one on you, and one on the audience to get their reactions to what you say when you tell them how it really is!
Have a great time - I wish that I could be there to see it! ![]()
As they say in Show Biz - Break a Leg!
Suggestion - You could include a mention of articles that The Knot and others have been writing about how people save money by ordering fake cakes, and let people know just how bogus they are, and how they cost as much to make as real cakes do.

You are going to have a blast. The audience will have a lot of fun and get good information as well. Let us hear what topic you go with. ![]()
Now we all know someone famous. First you are in the Mailbox News magazine, and now you are a speaker in a Bridal Show. ![]()
You will have to let us know how you arranged and decorated your booth this time. Be sure to take plenty of pictures. (We are visual learners.)
Are you going to use individual cups with lids for your samples, or cut and serve off a napkin? What flavors?

I think the article I'm leaning toward using is "10 Myths of Wedding Cakes" .... and trust me, that phony-a$$ idea that dummies are cheaper is #1 on the list!! ![]()
YES!!!!! Wake those brides up and show them the light when it comes to cakes. All those horrid articles have them brainwashed, time to bring them back Indydebi style.
Please remember to tape it and post it. I for one wouldn't miss it.
(too bad I'm not in IN or I'd come see you up on stage).
Send me a copy for my future customers! And make sure you try to submit it to ACD for publication.
Hugs -

If you are able to video your talk, would it be possible to attach it to your web site?
If it deals with what every bride should know, maybe it could be something to educate them.
I know there would be plenty of CC gals lining up to watch.
Besides, how could we miss it? ![]()
I also would like to see the audiences reaction. I think they will thoroughly enjoy it. You are very entertaining.

Congrats I hope all goes well for you have a great time!!!! ![]()
Speaking gig was canceled! ![]()
It was a first bridal show for this facility, so the turnout was very very low. I bet we didnt' have 30 brides there. (But all of us vendors had a chance to get to know each other!!
). So they decided to forego the speaking, which was fine with me..... I would have been preaching to the choir (vendors) as most of the audience! ![]()
Here's a pic of the table. Even my 16 year old, who grudgingly went with me, admitted to having a good time! http://www.cakecentral.com/modules.php?name=gallery&file=displayimage&pid=1258365
ooh, Debi, I love that separator between the tiers on the cake with the circles on it.
What was it before you gave it a second life?

Oh yeah, that's the cool part! Turn that metal thing upside down and it's designed to hold fruit! ![]()
Here's a thread with more on this cake: http://forum.cakecentral.com/cake-decorating-ftopict-600651-.html
