HI ALL- Question- I'm doing a 3 tier cake (each cake 4") covered in fondant and I was just wondering do I need to long solid dowel through all three cakes if I'm not going anywhere? The party is at my house where I will assemble the cake the day before. If i do need one, any suggestions on how to sharpen the dowel? I don't have a pencil sharpener (I guess I can go buy one if needed) and I don't want to shave the dowel for fear there will be splinters in my cake... Thanks for any help!!!
