HI, I want to make a wine bottle cake for my father-in-low's birthday.it serve about 6-8 poeple .I want to make stand bottle (just bottle for a cake ). What color I have to use ?? how can I cover it with fondant very smooth, need to be done with one piece, ?? any advise??
sorry I have a LOTS OF ??????????????

I made one a few years back although I can't remember if I iced with buttercream or fondant. There are a couple in the galleries, the one I used as guidance has the hit words beer/wine/cigars I think.

I know I painted color on afterwards.

thank you dear SUELA . I saw the galleries, but most of the wine cakes are laying on the base ,it is a lots of cake for me.I want to make just a wine bottle standing on the cake board

I am thinking to stack about 5-6 layer circle cake(cut with cookie cutter)
and for the neck rice krispys, and 1 dowel .but I don't know it's a good idea???????
please if you have some idea let me know.
his birthday is this friday.
I don't have much time
