I just spoke to a coworker that volunteers at the county fair and the judging was last night. I got first prize and best of show. I am so excited, I can't contain myself today. I'll go and check out the other entries on Friday.

Thanks for sharing in my excitement. If it wasn't for this site, I wouldn't have been able to learn so much. There are no classes close enough for me to even consider.

Thanks guys. I just can't explain how excited I am. Last year's fair only had 2 cakes total, this year there was 9 and the other wedding cake was in the professional catogory. THis felt more like a competition and definatly means so much more.

(can you tell I've been grinning from ear to ear).

Beautiful cake! Love the gelatin flowers right away I was hollering at my hubby look at these flowers!!! He was shocked when I told him what they consisted of! Good job!

Oh my goodness!! That is absolutely stunning.

I especially love the flowers! Is there any way you could post the instructions? Unfortunately I can't get any american cake magazines here in australia.
