The gadget in question, was the hand held instrument used to make hair, strings, etc. I know it comes with many differant disc. Also the pasta machine, where did you buy yours and was it expensive? Thanks again

I didn't read the original question, but I am guessing that you mean a clay extruder? I got the green metal Makins one that Michael's sells, with a 40% off coupon.

My pasta machine (which I haven't used) is just a little plastic one I got from graveyardmall.com and it was really cheap, I think about $7, but most of their items are a one-time deal. HTH
