In my old gas oven, it takes about 42 minutes for 2 8" rounds at 325 degrees. I think my oven runs about 10 - 15 degrees low; I normally set my temperature higher to compensate.
The first time I made an 8" round, I think I set my timer for 35 minutes to check, and checked it every couple of minutes until it was done.
