I need to know how to make a rice krispy cake dummy...never done one before. I just discovered I don't have the right size styro foam and the cake is due in two days. Has anyone made one before? Do you frost them with bc to hide the bumpyness?
I made one for a graduation cap (6"). I made the RKTs according to the package directions, greased a 6" pan really well, crushed the RKTs into the pan very firmly and level. The 'dummy' came out of the pan fine and yes, I did use BC to smooth it out.
I have heard of others who crunch up the rice krispeys very small but I don't do this.
Have fun!
Thanks a million snowshoe1. It's either RKT's or baking a 12" round cake just for fun...I'll try the RKT's. ![]()
