We've Been Asked For Boston Cream??

We have 6 cake orders to fill in the next couple of days. My husband just called and said the biggest order for next friday they want boston cream filling. I looked under recipes and printed the bavarian cream one. Is it the same thing? I have never had a request for anything other then fruit filling or buttercream.

Boston creme in my neck of the woods is bavarian cream (or custard) and a chocolate frosting. Affectionally called boston creme pies here. depends on how much your clients know their boston creme, some use vanilla pudding and some consider the cooked bavarian in the copper bowl the real deal!

When I do a boston cream cake i do a yellow cake....one layer of whipped chocolate ganche filling, and a vanilla custard filling.
I whip 1 cup whipping cream w/ 1/2 c sugar until nice and thick....then I fold in one box of vanilla pudding.
