We have 6 cake orders to fill in the next couple of days. My husband just called and said the biggest order for next friday they want boston cream filling. I looked under recipes and printed the bavarian cream one. Is it the same thing? I have never had a request for anything other then fruit filling or buttercream.

That's it icon_smile.gif
Boston creme in my neck of the woods is bavarian cream (or custard) and a chocolate frosting. Affectionally called boston creme pies here.

icon_smile.gif depends on how much your clients know their boston creme, some use vanilla pudding and some consider the cooked bavarian in the copper bowl the real deal!

Here is a recipe I quickly looked up. I hope it helps icon_smile.gif

When I do a boston cream cake i do a yellow cake....one layer of whipped chocolate ganche filling, and a vanilla custard filling.
I whip 1 cup whipping cream w/ 1/2 c sugar until nice and thick....then I fold in one box of vanilla pudding.
