How Long Can You Freeze A Decorated Cake?
Decorating By itsmylife Updated 6 Aug 2008 , 3:38am by littlecake
Long story short.... after a mix up as to which Tuesday this cake was supposed to be made (they made the mistake, not me), I now have a fully decorated cake that I just spent all day working on and it's not needed until next Tuesday.
It's all buttercream frosting and bavarian cream filling. Can I freeze the thing until next week? I'm so frustrated right now ![]()
Thanx-
Denise
wrap that box with several layers of plastic wrap, (then maybe foil). put all that into a large unscented plain garbage bag, suck out the air with a straw and tie a knot in the end.
freeze away!
it will be fine as long as there is no airbrushing on it....when buttercream cakes thaw they tend to get condensation on them...not a prob, unless they have airbrushing on them
