Cream Cheese Frosting Under Fondant
Decorating By terrig007 Updated 5 Aug 2008 , 7:47pm by sugarshack
I have spent the past 20 minutes looking through old post threads and just can't seem to find what I'm positive has been asked before but I am making a cake that will have red velvet with the crusting cream cheese frosting and it will be covered by fondant. Must the cake be kept in the fridge? Also, this is the infamous carrier cake that is due on Friday. I have to go out of town on Thursday to take my daughter to her therapy appointment so I won't have a lot of time for this free cake and I wanted to get most of it done tomorrow. Is it okay to leave it out or must it be kept in the fridge? It will be painted with the silver lustre dust.
TIA
terri
If you make the icing with butter, cream cheese, and sugar, it does not to be in fridge for a few days.
Thank YOU and good luck! ( make your CC icing stiff cuz it has a tendency to wanna slide)
