...you can travel with cookies on the airlines these days? I'm wanting to make cookie party favors for my Grandparents 50th Wedding Anniversary Party....I'll have to travel via the airlines to get to the party. I was thinking if I packed them well and had them in a carry on bag it would be okay, with all the regulations going on right now I wasn't sure....does anyone know or has anyone done this?

As far as I know, food is still allowed on planes.

I had to fly this summer when the whole "liquid" scare was going on. I had to throw away a full bottle of baby sunscreen. icon_cry.gif (yes, I could have checked it, but I was NOT going to stand in that line again just for a bottle of sunscreen).

Thanks Kelleym.... I flew about a month ago and the liquid scare is still going on... I figured cookies aren't liquid so they shoudl be okay as long as they fit in the overheard compartment or under the seat in from of me........but then again, I just hate to assume anymore when it comes to the airlines and thier regulations........ I'd hate to have to leave 100 cookies at the airport! LOL

I agree, call your airline and they will help you. When I flew in October to do my friend's wedding cake, I wanted to pack all my gumpaste flowers in my carry-on so they wouldn't get lost or broken....but I was concerned because they were all on wires and would surely look strange going through the scanners! I called the airline and after a few laughs at my attempts to explain exactly what gumpaste was, they assured me it wouldn't be a problem thumbs_up.gif . Good luck!

I guess when I get the reservations secured and know exactly what airline I will be using, I'll call them and ask about thier policies....thank you for all your help!
