I have a grooms cake request for a mexican chocolate cake it has cinamon and chocolate chips can any one tell me a good way to get this effect with a doctored cake mix. Thanks
I would just add a tablespoon of cinnamon to your mix and some almond extract. In place of of the liquid you usually use for the box, buy a box of mexican cocoa (usually in the ethnic food section, either Abuelita or Ibarra), Chop up one tablet and melt it in 2 cups of milk. Use that as your liquid. It will give your cake that cinnamon/almond flavor
