Well I look back at my early work with mixed emotions -- on the one hand I cringe because clearly my skills were lacking... 
but I also remember how proud and happy I was learning a new skill and feeling a sense of accomplishment.
The floating tiered cake with the precious moments topper is my first wedding cake commission, about 9 years ago. I had only been doing cakes a short time then. The other is my most recent wedding cake done last Fall. (I don't know why they posted in that order though.)

How about if you post your first cake (or you feel is an early cake) and your most recent cake you are proud of..I think it will be fun to see how far everyone has come!!

What a fun topic!! These are my first fondant cakes from last October, I like to think I've improved a bit since then! I used a box cake mix and can of frosting for the halloween cake - big mistake! Unfortunately I can't get my newer photos to upload here..
