Hello out there CC family...
Ok so I never used modeling "clay" before (and of course have a last minute order that causes me to use this- molding clay) and was wondering how exactly am I supposed to treat it? like fondant 
- corn starch and roll it out... but my biggest question is can I put it through the extruder?
Also, I used the recipe from CC.

I have never used it ,but on ace of cakes I have seen them roll it out and use it like fondant.I hate to say it but you should probably need to just experiment with the extruder.Sorry I can't be more help
I've seen threads where others have used it to cover a cake but I was not successful in doing that. A tip I received on CC is to add some fondant to it and knead well. It works great for covering cakes.
Regarding the extruder, just make sure you work it in your hands until it becomes very soft. It will go through your gun just fine (I've used this method for details on cookies).
