How Do I Chose The Size Of My Cake?
Decorating By bsanders12 Updated 16 Jul 2008 , 7:16pm by bsanders12
I am making a burberry themed cake which needs to serve 70 people. I plan on makeing it a three tiered cake? Any suggestions on the size of the tiers?
I will be covering it in fondant, so does anyone know how much fondant I will need with the sizes of the cakes?
Thank you, this website has been a big help!
You choose the size of the tiers by how many servings you need. Use the Wilton wedding charts if it's a wedding cake or the Wilton party charts if its a party cake. (www.wilton.com) You will have plenty of cake. There is a chart for how much fondant to use on the Satin Ice website (www.SatinFineFoods.com)
That said, a 6/8/10 round will do fine.
Thank you! I am going to check those websites out!
