Another Cake Support Question

I'm making a 3-tier cake, 10, 7 and 4. All 3 tiers will be 4" tall. Can I use straws as support, or do I need something more?

I would use wide bubble tea straws, not regualr straws
or wooden dowels
or plastic pillars from wilton
