I am so confused by all of the cutters, veiners, molds, etc. out there for gumpaste flowers. Does anyone use First Impressions Floramats? Are they simple to use? Are cutters better for making gumpaste flowers? If cutters are better, which ones are the best (FMM, JEM, Orchard, etc.) Sorry for all the questions. The world of gumpaste flowers is a bit overwhelming to me but I want to learn how to do them very badly.

I just bought the floramat veining kit for moth ordhids. You still need cutters to cut out the petals, you press the cut petals on the floramat to vein it. Nicholas Lodge shows how to use them in his "Gumpaste Hydrangea and Sunflower" dvd.

I use the First impression Floramats and I love them. You will still need the cutters these are only to add the veins and centers.
