I have done several character cakes and I can not seem to get the side's smooth with icing. I usually have to star tip it to make it look good. So how do I get the sides smooth??
What kind of icing are you using??? I use a crusting buttercream and I use a small dense foam roller to get my icing smooth..
I use a crusting BC as well
