SUELA, what a great idea. And it works? What did you use as the liquid? BC or coffee creamer?

I am SO glad I saw your post! I bought these too, also not seeing that the box stated 'actual size' lol! They are sitting in my cabinet because how do you scoop a small enough scoop without using a melon baller to fit! My kids want more ice cream than that! Anyway, I'm gonna try it! Thanks a bunch!

A mellon baller would be a great idea to make those cones! I had no idea they came that small! icon_biggrin.gif

I also just bought a box of the mini cones (on purpose) not knowing what I would use them for. Kroger had them on sale 10 for $10 - how could I pass it up? I have made bakerellas mini cupcake pops and now I can combine the two!
Thanks so much for sharing! I love getting ideas and inspiration from all of you!

I made cake balls for the first time yesterday, and my family loves them. I had made mass quantities of banana bread the other day. Unfortunatily it was a new recipe, and it was bland. I was not happy at all icon_sad.gif . So, I decided to make cake balls with it. I used half and half as the binder. Then I coated them with hersheys milk chocolate and resses peanut butter chips! My DH was in love. I called them Elvis balls, but he said it was gross sounding. He likes the name monkey balls better icon_confused.gif .

I am new to this site and I am asking a lot of questions, sorry if anyone has labeled me a PITA already....my apologies icon_redface.gif . I drink my coffee black and I have never had creamer. I very much want to try this recipe with creamer because I see some of the ladies at my job bringing in very interesting flavors.
Can someone please tell me approx. what size i should buy? Also, does anyone know if one flavor might be better than another? I have creme brulee in mind for this. I was amazed when I found out you can put that flavor in your coffee. Id be thrilled to find something to do with it that I can enjoy!

Jess! No apologies necessary!! Brain pickin is one of the things this site is all about! thumbs_up.gif I can't answer your ? about the creamer in the cakeballs. I have used it in my BC though. I have only done it once but I used the vanilla caramel in place of the water I normally use. OH MY GOODNESS!!! It was heavenly!!!! It doesn't take a whole lot for the binder though so I bet you could just get the small one. Depending on how much cake you have of course. I did a 9x13 for the icecream cones and only used about 1 cup of frosting to bind it. Hope this helps...sorry for rambling!!! icon_redface.gif

ty for your kind words everyone. I have been baking forever and just got into decorating. I absolutely love it and dont know why I didnt do it sooner! ! ! !
I took the batter and seperated it into little bowls, I used ROY G BIV as a guide, although I substituted pink for indigo. Then I spooned in one color at a time. It sounds simple, and it is, but I have made these a few times before they were 'picture perfect'. If you have any trouble/concerns/questions please feel free to ask me. I will always respond!
