I lost my father 8 years ago. After he died, I never dreamed that I'd reach a point where I could discuss him without crying or tearing up - but I'm finally there. I can even laugh at some of the silly stuff he said and did over the years.

I am so sorry for your loss. I lost my father almost eight years ago to lung cancer, and even though I'm at peace with it, it's still extremely tough to this day not to have that ache in my heart that will never totally go away.

All my thoughts and prayers are going to you and your family.
