I was asked to an "eclectic" cake in red, white and black. What would you think of as eclectic?? (pics would be great!)

First instinct was to grab my glasses to make sure it didn't say ELECTRIC.

Sorry just one of those days. icon_biggrin.gif

i was thinking of combining modern designs with traditional ones.

think of your house... you have a cool modern leather sofa and a vintage coffee table from a yard sale. does that make sense?

now how do you make that a cake?

traditional elements could be a silver cake plateau and a pretty bride and groom cake topper.

modern elements could be mixing the tier shapes and having a colored cake rather that white.
