Hi all. I need some suggestions I am making a 4th of July cake and the person who ordered it wants the flag part to be raspberries and blueberries Any ideas on how to place them without having them bleed into the icing?
I would think that if you dried them thoroughly you should be fine

Just make sure they're really, really, really dry. I did two different cakes-one in a hurry and although I thought they were dry, they weren't because it bled through to the icing. The second one I washed, dried and waited about four hours to put on the cake. Seemed to make a difference because no bleeding. HTH cake sounds yummy!
