Can You Pipe Flowers And Other Designs With Whipped Cream?

i was wondering if i could use a stabilised whipped cream and pipe flowers and others type of borders with it?

do you also know if i can colour them with color paste?

I have used the stabilized whipped cream for icing a cake and a small border,but even stabilized it started to break down about an hour after making it icon_sad.gif Darn this Georgia heat)

but here in the UK most of the time the temp is cold or warm so would it break down for me too? i was thinking like if i want to make a basketweave pattern or something detailed like that can i use stabilized whipped cream?

My family loves whipped creme so I use Rich's Bettercreme for their cakes. You can make flowers and borders with it. It is pretty good!

I am newbie baker and only bake for family and friends. I used bettercreme for most of my cakes.

BTW I purchase the bettercreme at GFS- Gordon Food Service. HTH

we don't have bettercreame here, can i just use stabilized whipped cream instaed?

You can ice a cake with stabilized whipped cream and get a smooth finish the same as buttercream but a basketweave or something detailed would not work. You can pipe a simple border and rosettes but definitely not flowers. Hope this helps.
