I have some buttercream icing in my freezer, in the little ziploc storage containers. How long will it be good for? Thanks!

Forever plus 2 days.

It all depends on how well it is wrapped. As long as you keep the ice away, it will last quite awhile. Just make sure when you thaw it, you taste test it fir fresh taste. Things in the freezer never go bad. It may have an expiration date due to no longer tasting fresh... but it is always still edible.

Great, thanks! It looks fine, as in, no ice, and it's completely sealed up, so I'll just taste it when I thaw it, before I use it on the cake. I just thought I had heard something in one of my classes about it being good for a couple months, but maybe I am just remembering wrong. Thanks again.

No, you were probably told a couple of months. It's all based on your tastes. If it still tastes fresh use it. Steak is nutritionally good longer than the recommended freezer time. It just may or may not taste fresh after a certain length of time.
